M. C. Gainey is an American character actor. His career spans decades since the 1970s. After appearing as an extra in some films, he landed roles in such movies as An Innocent Man and Spellbinder in the 1980s. During the ’90s, he appeared in the films The Mighty Ducks, Citizen Ruth, and The Fan. He also starred as J.T. ‘Miggsy’ Meigs in the TV series Against the Law. He then gained notice for his role as Earl ‘Swamp Thing’ Williams in Con Air. In the 2000s, he became known for his recurring role as Tom Friendly in Lost. After this, he appeared as Bo Crowder in some episodes of Justified. More recently, he played Ryan Rodgers in Prime Video’s Bosch and Wyatt Wilson in FX’s A Teacher.
